Valencia is more than just a city, it is a province rich in History, Gastronomy and in particular noted for its superb wines.
Some seven years ago in 2004 we moved here and quickly fell in love with the place! Valencia is loud, not just in its spring festival, Fallas, but also during the fiestas held in every district, town or village each year. The people are full of life and enjoy it to the full, proud of their heritage ( which has Roman and Moorish influences) but particularly their food and wine. Valencia used to be the breadbasket of the Roman empire, has shipped wine all around the Mediterranean and Europe and today produces rice, almonds, bread and patisserie, cheese, olive oil, chufa (for horchata a nut drink), chocolate, artichokes, tomatos, nisperos ( lowquats) kaki fruit, sausages and jamon, honey and in general is the garden of Spain.

Today I hope to help promote the food and wine of Valencia so that visitors to Valencia can enjoy the gastronomy as much as I do!
To this end I write my blog and attend as many of the wine and food fairs as possible each year, taking groups with me.
Alternatively I organise winetastings either for groups of about a dozen or, if you are on holiday I can take you to a vineyard and /or organise a tasting of local wines in your holiday accomodation.
I also collaborate with local bodegas in a number of events and with Vino-Valencia, an events organisation in Valencia.
Alternatively we can organise a trip to a food fair to coincide with your holiday so that you can see some of the real Valencia whilst you are here.
Events are held here throughout the year so the chances of your visit coinciding with something worth visiting are high!
