Pedralba Hosts Serraltur 2010
Pedralba plays host to Serraltur 2010 next weekend 15-16 May 2010. This is an itinerant gastronomic fair showcasing the products found in the Serranos and Alto Turia comarcas of Valencia. In the past it has been held in Tuejar, Calles and Serra. Around 40 stands will show local business from the region including Bodegas from Titaguas, Alpuente, Villar d´Arzobispo, Calles, Alcublas and Pedralba itself. There will also be agricultural co-ops, artesan bread and butchers products including Jamon from the region as well as commerce from the region, gastronomy displays and other exhibitors dealing with tourism in the area.
Starting at 10.30 on Saturday morning the gastronomy displays will include wine-tasting and bacalao is a major theme this year with La Pitanza, Pedralba´s best restaurant hosting `Jornadas de Gastronomia´ based on recipes using cod. The popular musical society will also be performing and there will be displays on the new Turia National Park and guided walks around the area.
