Funny classifications
Funny classifications
Ver mensaje de MaJesusIn my very very limited experience buying wines in the USA I’ve come across some quite funny classifications of wines in the stores. Not in the super-duper fancy wine stores, but certainly in the plain and even moderately sophisticated ones.
1.- Some Catalan wines do not indicate ";Spain"; (nor España either) in their labels; These are almost inevitably classified under ";South-America"; :-) ... except for Priorato: these are always correctly classified under ";Spain"; (whether they mention it or not).
2.- Red Portuguese wines (very rare, anyway) are usually under ";Spain"; too. ";Portugal"; is usually reserved for Portos , and, of course, our Spanish sherrys :-))
Cheers,
MaJesus
Re: Funny classifications
Ver mensaje de MaJesusHey sinner..... what are you doing here in the strange-language kingdom?
So what about placing Spain in the south of Mexico? ;))
Well, anyway, I must confess that I’ve some problems placing the different US States in a US map....

Ver mensaje de Paco HigónOK Paco, but you don’t have a store, and you know that books are real things that you can read (¿Spain, south of Mexico?) ... :-))
