Alimentaria 2004
Alimentaria 2004
Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiI plan to attend this wine exposition in Barcelona. It will be my first time. Has anyone here gone in past years? I was wondering what to expect.
Re: Alimentaria 2004
Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiIt depends on the time you can spend :)) If you’re ’only’ interested in wine with a couple of intensive days of ";work"; you can try some of the best wines produced in Spain.
Talking seriously.... there’s no other comparable wine & food fair in Spain....
Re: Alimentaria 2004
Ver mensaje de Paco HigónWell, I will be there all week and have no interest in any other part of the exposition other than wine. Barcelona holds many other distractions, but I go there fairly often and I should be able to mostly limit my unrelated social commitments to the weekends before and after the event.
Re: Alimentaria 2004
Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiWalt, this fair is a must. With difference, the best wine fair in Spain (well, after the Verema Encounter ;-)). BTW, if you are in Spain at the end of February you may be interested in attending the Third Verema meeting in Valencia on 27-28 February. More information (in Spanish): https://www.verema.com/opinamos/articulos/articulo.asp?articulo=131
Regarding Alimentaria, I recommend you to assist on Monday 8 of March to the event organized by Quim Vila in Barcelona. This year there is a price of admission but the range of wines you can try there (imported or distributed by Vilaviniteca) is impressive. You can contact them at http://www.vilaviniteca.es
Cheers
Re: Alimentaria 2004
Ver mensaje de Juan SuchThanks Juan. Unfortunately I will not be in Spain until the weekend before Alimenataria, but I looked at the description of the Verema event and it sounds very impressive. I wish I could make it.
I will try to find out more about the Vila Vinateca event on March 8. This is my favorite store in Barcelona.
Vinoble
Ver mensaje de WaltZalenskiRegarding Spanish fairs, what about Vinoble? Some people have recommended me, specially for their beatiful setting in Andalusia.
Re: Vinoble
Ver mensaje de MusikHi Nicos. I’m in agreement with that recommendation. For me, Vinoble and Alimentaria are the two better wine fairs than they become in Spain.
Vinoble is the only fair dedicated exclusively to generous, licorosos and sweet wines special. It’s celebrated every two years in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), the city Andalusian who shares her name with one of most famous wines elaborated in Spain
You can see more information in www.vinoble.com although lately this Web it does not work very well
Cheers
Re: Vinoble
Ver mensaje de Jose ContrerasI’m thinking of going to vinoble at spring time but I realize it starts on Thursday to Sunday. The Master i’m attending to doesn’t allow me to stay in here.
Maybe next year
