24 hours in Madrid
Casa Mingo... of course ;)
Ver mensaje de RayQYep, it’s a real classic for madrileños! It’s still there, in the same place since I know it... and my relatives! I’ve been going there since I was a child ;) Cider, roast chicken, chorizos a la sidra (chorizos boiled in cider) and some others easy and yummi delicatessen #-)
It’s next to San Antonio chapel, in the Paseo de la Florida (it’s the name of the street) and very near of the Principe Pio commuter.
Hope you enjoy it.
Cheers,
Jose
Matritum
Ver mensaje de joseOut of the winey places around Cava Alta, I liked Taberna Matritum in Cava Alta best.
Re: Matritum
Ver mensaje de suikoI enjoyed Matritum very much on a visit 2 years ago. I also enjoy tapas at Casa Lucas on Cava Baja; its very near Casa Lucio but across the street. They have some nice wines there as well.
I will be back in Madrid in September so all of these suggestions will help me as well.

Re: Matritum
Ver mensaje de suikoThanks for the suggestion. I have been away so sorry for the late response.
Where is Cava Alta ? I assume it’s a street in old Madrid.
