Spanish icon wines….

Which Spanish cellars do you consider that produce icon wines…? In the Spanish side we have been talking about Vega Sicilia and its “Unico”…. What else?

Assuming you don’t mean expensive trophy wines......
and you DO mean honest really good ones then I’d say

Mas La Plana
Toneles Valdespino (only had this once)
Mauro VS

And how did you get a bottle of such marvellous (and scarce) wine…

Tio Pepe should be the correct answer if ";icon wine"; means one which is very good and at the same time widely identified with Spain.

As to Toneles....Paco never underestimate my reach !! ;-)
(the sad part is that I had only 10 mins to savour it. I am promised another chance and next time I’ll savour it all night long !)

I guess Mr. Sherry keeps a bottle or two waiting for you up in the hills of Granada.
