Not personally... but a friend of mine, owner of a well known cellar told me that some people not only goes with guides... but also with printed pages of Verema ;-)

I don't know if Verema content on them and with Peñín & Gourmet guides in their hands and wandering along the shelves in some wineshops in Madrid...

People who are asked in wineshops about where have they heard about one wine or another, many times they say the same:
"Oh, I just found some info in Verema and I was a bit interested in it". Especially when they look for "odd brands" :) hehe

I mean, what's the concept behind an odd brand for a wine shop? Most of people I know have a zero interest in wine so every bottle in my home is and odd brand ;) but, what's an odd brand for winegeeks and wine shops?

haha exactly!,that´s the point. In fact, "odd brands" for most of people (who don´t give a sXXt about wine) are wines non related to Rioja-Ribera-Rueda stuff mainly. For wine geeks and shops...mmm... this issue could take a long time to achieve a minimally appropriate answer.
