Is there a "Spanish palate" ?

I'm spanish but my palate is mostly French. Verema is not the Spanish palate

a fair point. And a huge generalisation to talk in these terms.

I think your point about the embracing of new oak is a backlash against the poorly made wines in the old style is a very good one.

As you know I'm pretty tolerant of oak myself! ;-)

But your rant about PdC makes me see a little light of hope! ;))))

Is not a generalisation.The reality is that most of participants of the spanish forum are from Levante and they use to drink this kind of concentrated wines with a lot of everything. I need some acidity and lightness in my perfect "tinto" as the burgundy lover I am.
And I´m not alone...
