Indeed, as I commented over a year ago, the bottle has done it lots of good… I confess, more than I expected. Initial whiff of nail varnish, which disappears with the airing to show a serious, elegant nose that is also discreet. Notes of mineral with a touch of slate and black shoe polish, notes of red fruit and gentle hints of wild violets. In the mouth, it is fleshy, with firm but silky tannins, good acidity and persistence. I think the bottle will continue to improve this wine.
