El Cabernet Familiar 2017

Medium bodied red cherry with violet edge and long slow legs.

Youthful on the nose. Red and black plum fruits, cherries, blue flowers (violets) bayleaf, mountain scrub, roasted red peppers. Overall there is sweetness about the nose.

In the mouth a nice mix of balsamic notes, rich fruit and rounded,red peppers, good acidity, good long finish and easy to drink. 

On discovering what it was, a little surprised but pleasantly so, a forward fruitier version rather than the Loire style of previous vintages. Very nice !
