Castillo de Utiel

Black cherry colour, medium bodied with garnet edge, long slow legs.

Initial notes are of the malolactic fermentation, is a fragrancy, fruit, red, mature and fresh, some black fruit but its all a bit of a jumble, hints of orange peel, coffeee grounds and iron. 

Drying tannins on entry, a hot spicy note, lively acidity but stalky with astringency. A wine which is all over the place and lean. Better on the nose but not much.
