The problem with a lot of these « lesser Bordeaux » appelations is how utterly boring their wines are... They might have balance of fruit and wood, but beyond that there’s next to nothing. Or, in this case, nothing at all. Decent cassis-blackberry-plum-vanilla presence. But dirt? Hell no. What does Castillon taste like?
