The purity and grace of this wine always amazes and exhilarates me. This is clean and pure stuff!!! Beautifully fruity perfume of ripe berries, herbs, lilac and earth. This could almost be Pinot Noir, from the aromatics, so pretty and delicate they are. But it’s merely gorgeous Gamay. More of same in mouth. Juicy, but also very structured and long. Fine tannins. Considering how well previous vintages have behaved after a few years in the cellar, this one’s a keeper.
