Nigel wanted to pair this next to the following wine that was a Washington State Pinot Noir. I would like to thank him for providing the opportunity for me to try this wine. A rose red with a light pink rim on this 10.5% wine. The nose has one simple descriptor for me. It reminded me of the smell of sitting in my dentist’s chair before the drilling often began. Pure medicinal nose and with air it did not go away. The featherweight red fruits did not stand much chance against the searing acidity on the palate. I really struggled here for any sort of pleasure.
