A light plum red on this 13.8% wine. Some dry earth and crunchy light red fruits.
The muted light cherry fruit show nice acidity and a respectable length, with a touch of alcohol on the finish. With a couple of hours in the glass, there was more evidence of fine strawberry fruits on the nose and some vigour on the palate. 85/100 to start with, finishing with 88+/100 with air. This clearly showed how decanting can help a wine open up and develop positively at this stage of its evolution.
