Our first wine of the evening and the only off-dry version of the day (14% alcohol). Bright light lemon, tinge of green. The grapy nose also had wet wool, lemon peel and a touch of almond. The off-dry taste (12 grams of residual sugar per litre) also comes with acidity that tingles the palate and carries the delicate citrus fruit. A little soft butter from the Hungarian oak (new?). To me, it tasted like a hypothetical blend of 90% Chenin Blanc and 10% Chardonnay.
