This is a single-vineyard (Santa Margarita de Agulladolç) effort made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot and aged for 18 months in Nevers oak. It has a opulent nose of primarily of sweet fragrant cassis and black fruits with a touch of balsamic. The wine is ample but elegant on the palate, with good fruit, spices and a mildly flinty bottom with unobtrusive but still slightly granular tannins. The balance and structure of this wine epitomizes elegance. It reminds me a some first-rate Vega Sicilia Unicos.
