Poured straight from the bottle, it was interesting to see this 14.5% ‘wild child’ develop in the glass. Opaque plum red, with dark fruits, a little tar, Brazil nut and aubergine (eggplant). A concentrated rush of tight blackcurrants, a fine thread of acidity all the way through to the long and slightly dry finish with some blueberries in there somewhere. A very impressive young wine with the balance to age well.
