Double decanted just before serving, some sediment (14% alcohol). A blend of old vine Grenache, Mouvedre and Shiraz. Dark strawberry red, with a perfume of eucalyptus, Asian spices and mature red fruits waft into my nostrils. Slightly sweet entry, then a red fruit and acidity combo make their presence felt. A few waves of slightly dry dirty dancing, then a smooth and settled warming finish. I am disappointed by the seemingly simple flavour sensations. If not at maturity, this wine is close to it. The 1994 vintage of this wine that I have drunk several bottles of in the last few years was far better.
