Poured straight from the bottle into a Burgundy Riedel glass. Light strawberry with browning towards the outer body and a pale rose rim. Plenty of VA is not a good sign with stewed fruits. Thin acidic and with a lean bitter finish. I have drunk my way through 5 bottles of this wine and they have steadily got worse. The Oddbins manager who sold them to me several years ago said that “this will be drinking beautifully in 2005.” What a load of rubbish! The last bottle I tried two years ago was marginally better. Drain fodder. Not rated.
