Ruby red with medium opacity and an edge between slate and purple tones. Nose has lots of fine wood and aromatic herbs (sandalwood, cedar), liquorice and notes of spice. The mouth is slightly dry, well structured and an aftertaste reminiscent of the toast of the cask. Should improve somewhat in the bottle.
