Initially, this shows quite a bit of spritz. So much so that J objects, thinking there’s some sort of refermentation going on. But I let the wine rest and later on it turns out to be a very decent light red. Savory herbs, red berries and cured meats, friendly and forward, with a decent enough structure that manages food very well. Of course, the bubbles are a problem while they last. Requires some patience (and I don’t mean in any cellaring sense, but in terms of what one does when immediately consuming the wine).
