Opaque purple, the nose offered ripe fruit and a little eucalyptus. When everybody took their first sip, we knew this was easily going to be the wine of the night. Ripe fruit that packed a velvet punch, the acidity keeps things fresh. A long and slightly spicy finish, this was impressive although to be fair it was head and shoulders above the other wines to start with.
