I have enjoyed Billecart-Salmon for some years now, since trying the 1982 vintage several years ago. A bottle of the 1990 was stunning a few months ago and the best glass that evening was the last one out of the bottle, approximately 60 minutes after I had opened it.

Bright lemon with a light gold hue. Delicate white flowers with a touch of honey. The seamless citrus mouth feel is still relatively youthful although showing signs of developing secondary characteristics. Balanced and with a clean and silky finish, this bottle was a pleasure to drink. There are still a few years until this will hit its peak but it is perfectly acceptable now.
