The top Amarone cuvee from this star of the region. I loved his 1997 Valpolicella TB and it is drinking beautifully well now. Double decanted one hour in advance, this 16% blockbuster showed an impenetrable optic of cherry red. Very ripe black cherry jam, tight herbs and depth. Seamless yet with a wild streak of acidity, the luscious fruit pours over the senses on my tongue for wave after wave of pleasure. Drinkable now but surely needs bottle age for more complexity. WOTN and one of the most enjoyable wines this month.
