I had been itching to try this 50cl bottle after buying a couple from Oddbins at £15 each (US$27, Euros 21). Bright gold and weighing in a 14.5% alcohol, the nose showed fresh peaches and a touch of filo pastry. Delicate sweetness, but alcoholic on the mid palate with a slightly burnt fruit finish. Personally, I found this disappointing. IMHO the wine was vinified to too high an alcohol level and it was really not sweet enough for me or the majority of others. I hope my bottles improve, but this wine is not balanced at the moment.
