Made from a strange blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Souzoa (a Portuguese variety, I believe). Decanted about 2 hours ahead into a large decanter, this 14.5% wine was opaque cherry red. Eucalyptus, red plum and a little smoky on the nose. Bruce said that it reminded him of a “hint of Australian bushfire”. I found it slightly sweet with rich plum and oak mingling on the palate with a nice length but nowhere near the presence of either the Ironstone Pressings or the Dead Arm. Interesting wine and worth trying.
