Made from old dry grown Shiraz vines between around 80-100 years old, I was interested to see how this was holding up. Poured straight from the bottle, a dark strawberry red. Fine eucalyptus with cinnamon and mature red fruits. A velvet start, the palate opens up and for about 15 seconds rolls around the palate with red plum and raspberries and refreshing acidity. Lovely balance and this got better over the course of a few hours, this wine is drinking very well but there is not hurry to finish off remaining bottles.
