It is always great to see fellow wine bringing their older and more cherished bottles to offlines to share with others. This bottle was recorked at the Cantina della Fattoria “;Il Greppo”; on 24 June 1995. A light strawberry red, my initial reaction was that this wine was over the hill. I smelled mostly volatile acidity with a hint of light cherries. A sip revealed a lean acidic wine with no fruit content and a dry finish. Advice from Linden was to leave it in the glass for an hour to open up’; which I duly did. For my palate, there really was not different. I have tried the wines from Bondi-Santi before at a trade tasting and they failed to impress me then. I don’;t think I am a fan of their style. Not rated.
