Opened because the cork is now faulty, last bottle from a case bought in the mid 1980´s. Around 4cm´s of wine missing from the top of the bottle. Cork crumbled on exit.

Deep old gold colour, clean and bright and viscous.

The nose is less toast and biscuit and more honey and baked apple.

In the mouth it has a wonderful acidity with green pineapple , citrus (orange rind) and other tropical fruits. Long dry finish with an orange marmalade finish, concentrated

Cant help feeling this wine would have lasted a lot longer were it not for the cork!

Cork in good condition, removed cleanly in one piece.

Intense green gold, even colour from centre to rim, clean and bright with long slow developing legs.

On the nose the long bottle ageing has developed a complex concentrated wine full of predominantly burnt toast and citrus fruit.

On the palate a full bodied wine with honey and lime, beautifully balanced dry wine with a long full warm finish.
